We had heard about these "backpacker" places by now so we decided to try one. Driving farther north, we noticed a backpacker hostel wasn't too far away so we checked in.
This was our backpacker hostel for the night. One room with no bathroom, no water, no nothing but a place to sleep for NZ $80. The exchange rate was slightly in our favor but their prices are much more than ours for most everything.
