17 Feb 2010 -- Trinity Beach, Australia

Driving around one day we stopped at odd times to take in the sights. Trinity Beach is a small beach town not far from Cairns, went for a stroll on the beach, had dinner. A nice time even without going for a swim.

There's an Octopus in my pasta!! I'm thinking no one really eats Octopus and the cook recycles this leftover for the next customer to take pictures of and put it on their blog. :-)

Couldn't believe this one but there is no photo magic here.

Beach was closed because of jelly fish.

This is an ocean swimming pool. They have this huge net affixed to the sand and extending out into the water quite a ways for that salt water swimming effect. One day even this was closed because tiny jelly fish got through the netting.

This is a lifeguard. He's covered from head to toe so the stinger can't get to him. Life is tough during jelly fish season.

Yes, that's a shark. This is the same beach as the netted swimming pool

Practically all "No's". Have a nice day at the beach.

Stingers, Crocodiles and Slippery Rocks

Get stung by a jelly fish and run for the antidote.

Saw this sign and started looking.

There were a field full of them just around the bend.

Another word we in the U.S. don't use very often.

Saw this in New Zealand also. This sign takes the place of two of ours.
