Still in Australia but traveling and this next stop was Darwin, way up north. By this time we had decided to go to Bali and as Darwin was on the way, why not stop for a few days. We were getting near the Equator and the temperature was heating up.
Our hotel was near the waterfront, so just a short walk to go swimming.
The hotel was nice enough to provide the robes so we took advantage and sat on the patio for coffee in the early morning.
Later that day it was time to check out the pool. One late afternoon Janet swam here during a heavy downpour.
At the waterfront the city has this huge swimming pool with filtered saltwater. By this time we know the reason - nasty little floating things - jelly fish.
Next door to the above swimming pool , another one. This Wave Pool is run by the city also. Very popular with teenagers trying to "catch a wave" with a board like Janet is carrying.
